This isolated National Park is really a beautiful one to discover. Much except other NP canyons (Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon ), this canyon is definitely that‘s easily seen inside an afternoon. Their are two campgrounds upon the south side from the park you upon the north. South Rim is tucked amongst oak shrubbery.

Sites here were hardly what it is that we expected. Although the sites inside the three loops are fairly private and scenic, they‘re overgrown with shrubbery making them almost unusable. Interior roads are paved, but they are tight for larger RVs and also the small gravel pads, often only a turnout down the road make them
user-unfriendly to RVs. I might only return here in a little trailer or RV lower than 25 feet in total length. We did benefit from the canyon, hikes that lead directly coming from the campground and also the wildlife that‘s often spotted here. Within our 24 hour stay, we saw abundant mule deer, three snakes, butterflies and yes, a black bear, all in your campsite. Hawks and bobcats will also be frequently seen all around the canyon rim. With a pleasant Visitor’s Center in the South Rim only a mile from camp and spectacular views, this National Park is must-see, but plan your accommodations carefully !
