Having a beautiful setting tucked up in the hills and far from its next door neighbor, Sunset Campground, Texas Spring is merely open to tent campers. The camp holds over a 100 sites, yet has a little, intimate feel with the various loops located between the various nooks.

The very best section of this campground is its tucked away feel and slight elevation which provide some beautiful views of the encompassing mountains that create the valley. Sites are primitive, offer fire rings, picnic tables and dirt pads, however interior roads
are paved. Potable water and restrooms can be found. Most sites offer little privacy between neighbors, and all sites are first come-first served and can also fill up quickly during peak season : fall and spring. The campground closes in late spring because of extreme summer heat. An overflow tenting area is available at Sunset Campground. Enjoy star gazing during this International Dark Sky Park.
